Explosive Ghostflame is a sorcery spell that allows one to strike the ground with the staff to trigger an explosion of ghostflame that can inflict frostbite. The flame from the explosion also spreads in the surrounding area, inflicting damage over time.
The spell has a relatively slow casting time and can get you killed if you don't use it at the right time. Consider using spirit ashes to distract your foes from interrupting your cast.

This Death Rite Bird appears only at night at the end of the frozen river near the Apostate Derelict site of grace, northwest of the Mountaintops of the Giants region. Defeat the Death Rite Bird and you will obtain the Explosive Ghostflame spell.
Explosive Ghostflame is best used when you're surrounded by enemies as the AoE (area of effect) attack will damage anyone around you. The flames scattered in the aftermath of the explosion will also deal damage over a period of time to enemies inside the affected area.
