QTEs Significantly Reduced

Krauser fight
The developers have confirmed that Quick Time Events (QTE) will not feature as heavily in the Resident Evil 4 Remake, compared to the original. Specifically, QTEs that require you to press buttons will no longer appear during cutscenes!

The boss fight with Jack Krauser has also been significantly reworked from being made up of QTEs to focusing more on parrying and combat.

This could mean players will feel more immersed in the game and can enjoy the cutscenes without the stress of having to hit buttons for QTEs! More importantly, this means that players will not have to endure the pain of mashing buttons just to run away from a random giant boulder, like in the original.

QTE Replacement Resident Evil 4 Remake
Some QTEs have been replaced with other mechanics such as the new knife parry and combat prompts! One very good example of this is when you get caught by enemies and will need to mash a button fast enough in order to escape.

It's a more modern take to the classic game and could open up numerous avenues for ways to play the game! In fact, players can see some of these prompts in the demo!
