You can get the Kitchen Knife the same way as you get the TMP. You will need to discard all the items before passing through the Village Square gate to open up the well. Go down there behind the barn located at the south side of the Village Square from the map. Continue following the path once down and break the barrels to get the Kitchen Knife.

After discarding all your items, go to the right as you enter the village and go until you reach another gate. Then follow the path on the left side and you should see the well without a metal cover. Go down using the ladder, follow the path, and break the barrels to get the Kitchen Knife.

Kitchen Knife has very low durability compared to Leon's Combat Knife. Be mindful of how you use it, and try not to use it to break free from a grapple or kill a downed enemy, as they can shatter the Kitchen Knife quickly.

Kitchen Knife can survive several parries, so it's one of the best ways to use it in the game. It's not as sturdy as the Combat Knife, but it will serve its purpose and allow you to defend yourself.

However, defending a stronger attack from elite mobs or bosses will instantly break the Kitchen Knife, so dodge their attacks if you can!

How to Parry Attacks

Sneak Attack for an Instant Kill

Although sneak attacks can remove almost half of the Kitchen Knife's durability, it will be worth doing as it guarantees an instant kill against enemies. You can reduce at least two enemies with the Kitchen Knife by doing sneak attacks, saving you precious resources, especially ammo.
