A very useful skip in Resident Evil 4 (RE4) Remake can be done from the Church in Chapter 5 where you can skip the window cutscene and despawn Ashley as you run back to the farm. Read on to learn the details of this skip and more!

How to Skip Church: Despawning Ashley

Clip Through the Attic With a Scope

Update 4/23: This scope glitch has been fixed as of the Ver. 1.05 update and will no longer work.

After climbing up to the church attic, don't go to the window, instead press your back against the wall and aim down with a rifle and a scope until you reach the edge, then spam the interact button as soon as you disable your aim and hold the back button as you fall.

You'll notice if the skip is successful when the church walls and floor glitch out and you land on the fence. Once successful, simply run back to the farm while ignoring all enemies to save your precious time.

This glitch can be done in the attic of the church in Chapter 5 right after rescuing Ashley.

Speedrunners can greatly benefit from this skip as it skips the window cutscene and it despawns Ashley, allowing you to run back to the farm without having to worry about Ashley being kidnapped.
