Elden Ring - Invaders
Invaders, similar to most Souls Games, are special NPCs that assume the guise of player invaders. They appear once you reach certain areas near them and immediately engage you in combat. Take note that their movesets often mimic players, so being familiar with weapons and ashes of war is a great advantage against these Invaders.

NPC Invaders Spawn Like Player Invaders

Once in range of an NPC invader, players will get a prompt at the bottom of their screens as if they're being invaded by another player. After the summoning process, these invaders will head straight to the player and initiate combat — stay on your toes!

Invaders Can Drop Loot and Runes

Elden Ring - Invader Loot
Certain invaders can drop items ranging from simple consumables to equipment. They can even a specific number of runes as well!
