Jump Into the Spirit Spring to Access Highroad Cave

From the Sanitsbridge Site of Grace, get a running start and double-jump off the bridge into the Spirit Spring while riding Torrent, then ride past the giant octopus enemies. The cave entrance is in the rock wall on the left just before the river ends.

Highroad Cave Walkthrough

1	After entering the cave and activating the Site of Grace, head deeper inside until you find a hole. Jump from platform to platform until you reach the bottom of the pit. Continue the path until you find a room with the wolves and another hole at the center.
2	Continue descending down the hole and as soon as you reach the bottom, there will be two paths. One leads you to a dead end with a cave moss you can pick up at the end, and the other down to a campsite. There will be two more paths after that, but both lead to the same place.
3	Eventually, you'll end up in a large chamber littered with bats. Slowly make your way down along the cliff, pick up the Smithing Stone [1] from the corpse, and head towards where the waterfall is.
4	Jump down, and there should be an opening you can go inside. Be careful of the bats that come out of it. After acquiring the Smithing Stone [2] and Golden Rune [4] inside, head back to the waterfall and jump down.
5	Hop to the nearest platform, then climb up the pillar. Pick up the Shamshir on the corpse at the center of the room, then head up the stairs. Jump to the platform on your left, then proceed forward.
6	Heading up the tunnel leads you to a room with a giant land octopus in the ceiling. After dealing with them, continue forward until you exit towards the same large chamber near the other waterfall. Jump down and proceed forward.
7	Continue inside and pass through the fog wall to fight the boss. It would be wise to enter this dungeon when you've completed most of the other dungeons in West Limgrave and had the chance to level up a bit. The Guardian Golem is slow, but its attacks hit hard. Highroad Cave General Tips

Bring Some Light

Try to pick up the Torch from Kale at Church of Elleh as it is recommended to get a light source before trying to explore since the cave is very dark.

You can also buy a Lantern from the Isolated Merchant in the Weeping Peninsula region or acquire the Starlight spell from Thop's shop in the Church of Irith near the Lake Facing Cliffs site of grace in the Liurnia of the Lakes.
