How to Get to the Rivermouth Cave

To get to Rivermouth Cave, start from the Pillar Path Cross (Thiollier can be found here) southeast of the Castle Front Site of Grace of Castle Ensis.

From the Pillar Path Cross, head up north and then take the stone platforms that lead to a lower area with a pool of Miranda Sprouts. At the pool, look for the cave entrance to the Ellac River Cave Site of Grace (it can be found behind a giant Miranda Sprout).

Once you have entered the cave and have claimed the site of grace, exit on the other end to be at the base of the Ellac River. Head northwest until you reach the Rivermouth Cave.

Rivermouth Cave Main Path Guide

	Rivermouth Cave
1	Head forward from the Site of Grace and clear the area of wolves. You can pick up a Hefty Beast Bone from a corpse nearby. Afterward, head in to the left.
2	You will come across the fork in the path. The main path will be on the left, but you can take a short detour to the right to obtain Slivers of Meat guarded by some wolves.
3	The next main area will have an archway. Take the path on the left to engage the wolves properly. Going under the archway will put you in a disadvantageous position against an ambush.
4	After clearing the area of wolves, head up the stone steps nearby.
5	Move forward and you will come across a small empty area. Drop down at the center to cause the ground to break, sending you to another narrow tunnel below. Once you have fallen, there will be dead end nearby with a corpse and a Shadow Realm Rune. The path in the other direction will lead to a Bloodfiend ritual. Collect the rune first from the corpse and then head towards the ritual area.
6	There will be several Bloodfiends in this area. You can follow the main path on the left or take the path on the right first to collect the Sacred Bloody Flesh guarded by wolves.
7	If you followed the path on the right first, the Sacred Bloody Flesh will be at the end guarded by wolves. After clearing the path and collecting it, the path on the right leads back to the area with an archway. Retrace your steps to get back on the main path.
8	You will an encounter a Bloodfiend sitting on the main path going down. You can approach quietly by crouching or using an equipment or spell that silences your footsteps (such as Black Knife Armor, or Crepus's Vial). Make sure to take care of this enemy first before proceeding.
9	To get past this area, you are going to have to clear out the group of Bloodfiends attending to the ritual. It is best to establish a choke point on the ramp before the pool to take them out one by one. You can take out the Bloodfiends quickly by using AoE attacks such as the Wave of Gold from the Sacred Relic Sword.
10	After clearing the area of Bloodfiends, grab 3x Sacred Bloody Flesh from the altar/throne structure, and then head to the large opening on the right to take on the Chief Bloodfiend boss.
11	Defeat the Chief Bloodfiend to obtain the Bloodfiend Hexer's Ashes. Afterward, an exit portal will appear nearby.

Rivermouth Cave Sacred Bloody Flesh

Sacred Flesh is a consumable that grants a temporary body buff that boosts physical attack power and the Arcane stat attribute.

While active, the attack power buff can be boosted further when a nearby Blood Loss occurs. It is then best to pair a weapon with Bleed to get the most out of this item.
