Getting through the Lake of Rot can be difficult and easily use up your flasks. To make things easier, players can find pressure plates next to statues that bring up platforms players can walk on.

Use Preserving Boluses to cure or reduce Scarlet Rot buildup. Players can purchase Preserving Boluses at merchants or craft them.

Defeat Dragonkin Soldier

East of the lake, players will find a Dragonkin Soldier, and a pressure plate just beyond it that brings up platforms players can fight on. Defeating the Dragonkin Soldier will net the player the Dragonscale Blade.
