Bloody Finger Nerijus |
Murkwater Cave is located at the Murkwater River in Limgrave. To get there, travel to Agheel Lake North site of grace and head east towards the bridge. Make your way down the bridge and follow the river until you see a cave opening to your left.
Be warned, as Bloody Finger Nerijus will start to invade as soon as you get close to the cave's entrance. Defeating him will allow you to have access through Murkwater Cave.
1 | After entering the cave and activating the Site of Grace, head deeper inside the cave, where you will encounter two highwayman enemies, with one of them patrolling. |

2 | If you don't want to fight them, you can hide inside the bush, but keep an eye out for any tripwire trap, as that will alert them. Be patient and wait for the patrolling highwayman to turn their back against you before heading to the next bush. |
3 | Take the tunnel on your right and follow the path until you encounter the fog gate. After entering inside, there will be a chest in the room, and when opened, Patches will appear, and a fight will ensue afterward. ▶ How to Defeat Patches |
Follow the basics of combat and you'll be able to take on Patches without an issue. Back up when he sprays his poison cloud, roll dodge his spear thrusts, and attack him when his large shield drops.
Patches will only put up half a fight and he'll be pleading for his life in no time (no, seriously). You have the option of letting him live, which we advise doing.
How to Beat Patches: Boss Fight Guide
If you're having trouble beating the first main boss, Margit (no shame in admitting it), you can buy an item from Patches specifically designed to make the battle more manageable.
Should you decide to spare his life, Patches will open up a secret shop in Murkwater Cave the next time you visit him where you can buy the Margit's Shackle.
