Deathtouched Catacombs can be accessed by heading west of the Saintsbridge site of grace and climbing a bunch of rocks. The entrance is located at the foot of the mountain in a rock wall.
1 | Head down the catacombs and activate the site of grace along the way. You'll arrive at a room that contains a locked door that leads to the boss and a path that leads deeper down. Head deeper down to the catacombs. |

2 | As you arrive at the bottom, you'll enter a large room. From there, take the stairs down and head to the right. Be prepared for a fight as skeletons are present throughout the room and must be killed twice as they will just resurrect. |
3 | Head straight, and you should find a room at the end where you will find a statue and the lever needed to open the boss room. As soon as you interact with the lever, more skeletons will come out to attack you. |
4 | After dealing with the skeletons, head back to the stairs that lead up to the boss room, and you should see an archway underneath the platform. Head inside, and there should be a narrow corridor you can enter to get to a room. |
5 | There will be more skeletons inside the room. After dispatching them, enter the next tunnel to get to the platform where the skeleton archer was located previously. There you can find a corpse with a glowing light containing the Uchigatana. |
6 | Head back to the boss door and prepare to fight the Black Knife Assassin. Defeating the assassin will earn you the Assassin's Crimson Dagger, a Talisman that restores HP if you land a critical hit. |
Black Knife Assassin wields a dagger as its only weapon, which means it lacks range and area of effect damage. Use this to your advantage and summon a Spirit Ash, like Lone Wolf Ash or any other Spirit Ash that summons multiple spirits so you can overwhelm the boss.
Since you'll be dealing with the undead, it's good to bring spells and weapons infused with holy damage as it is very effective against them. Using Litany of Proper Death will deal a huge amount of damage against these undead enemies and will not be able to spawn when killed by them.
