How to Get to Morne Tunnel

The entrance to Morne Tunnel is found at the end of the canyon between Ailing Village and the Minor Erdtree. Drop down the east side of the Minor Erdtree and jump down into the Spirit Spring, then head past the black tower remains to find the entrance at the end of the valley.

Defeat Scaly Misbegotten

Scaly Misbegotten is a stronger, axe-wielding version of the regular Misbegotten enemies. It takes a lot of time to charge up its attacks before swinging, so it should be easy to stay out of the way before moving on the offensive. Its Horizontal Axe Swing is decent at dealing with Summon Ashes like Lone Wolf Ashes, but will otherwise get overwhelmed during other attacks.

Defeating Scaly Misbegotten will net you the Rusted Anchor.

Obtain Smithing Stones and Somber Smithing Stones

As with other tunnel dungeons, Morne Tunnel is chock full of Smithing Stones.

Take the lift up at the beginning of the dungeon, step on the switch and send the platform back down without you on it. Drop down the left side to a secret alcove to find three Smithing Stones [1].

Another Smithing Stone [1] can be found in the main room by carefully walking across the crossbeam, then climbing the ladder up to the platform at the end.

Drop back down and take the southern exit, walking down the wooden staircase and branching off to the left to get another Smithing Stone [1].

Behind the shack at the end of the steps, pick up a Somber Smithing Stone [1]. Heading back, this time go under the wooden steps to find Smithing Stone [1] along the right side. In the main room on the ground floor, check all of the walls for several more of both.

Finally, check the alcove to the right of the boss room for a Somber Smithing Stone [1].
