Examine the Contamination of the Ruins is an Exploration quest in Throne and Liberty (TL). Read on to learn how to send the magic signal, how to activate the contamination measuring device and contamination investigation device, and what the rewards are for completing the quest.

Before activating the Magic Signal at its designated location, make sure to receive the Magic Signal from Contamination Investigator Kaleum first. Your character will glow red when you have the Magic Signal.
Make sure to deliver the signal quickly as it will only last for forty-five seconds. If you lose it before sending it at the designated location, you will have to go back to Kaleum to receive the Magic Signal again.
Besides the red glow on your character, you can also see the Magic Signal effect below your MP bar, on the top-left of your screen. It will also display the duration of the effect and how long you have to reach your destination.
After receiving the Magic Signal, glide towards the top of the archway. If you struggle with the take-off, try not to climb up the railing and instead jump over it before gliding. It will give you just the right amount of height to reach the archway.
Once you reach the archway, make sure to interact at the very top of it before the Magic Signal effect expires in order to finish this objective. You will know you have done this in time if a firework appears.
After sending the Magic Signal, you need to collect fifteen Contaminated Specimens from defeating zombies. The quest will give you designated areas for this objective, but you are not strictly limited to those locations. Defeating any kind of zombie within the region will get you Contaminated Specimens.
Once you have collected fifteen Contaminated Specimens, head to the lower-left crater to find the Contamination Measuring Device. Interact with it to complete the objective.
The last objective also requires fifteen Contaminated Specimens, this time from defeating skeletons. Similar to the previous objective, you do not have to be limited to the designated area the quest gives you in order to get the Contaminated Specimens. Any skeleton within the region will do.
After collecting fifteen Contaminated Specimens, go to the upper-right crater this time to find the Contamination Investigation Device. It may be displayed as "Contamination Measuring Device". Interact with it to complete the quest.
