Fight During the Night

It is best to fight the Stone Golem Chief during the night instead of daytime since the nearby stone golems are asleep and won't be interfering with your battle against the chief.

The in-game time is displayed on the lower right corner of the map menu.

Lure the Chief Away from Minions

If you fight the Stone Golem Chief during the day, chances are his minions will join in. To avoid interferance, attack the chief and then run away to lure him to a secluded area where you can have a fair one-on-one battle.

For ranged weapon users, they can simply poke the chief with a basic attack from afar. For melee players, they can attack the chief up front and then lead him away from the crowd.

Block Fury Attacks

For Sword and Shield, as well as Greatsword players, they can use their weapons to block or parry the Stone Golem Chief's fury attacks by timing it with the purple circle that appears before he attacks.

Sword and Shield users can heal up on successful blocks due to the Shield Survival Technique skill, while Greatsword players have a chance to stun the chief on a well-timed parry, courtesy of the Iron Point Parry skill.

Stock Up on Potions

Before the fight, be sure to stock up on Recovery Crystals for healing, as well as Attack and Defense Remedies for increasing damage and defense.

Bring a Party

A complete party composing of a tank, healer, and damage-dealers can ease up the difficulty of fighting the Stone Golem Chief. At the very least, your party should have a Healer since they can focus on healing the player/s attacking the chief.

West of Raging Wilds Waypoint

The Stone Golem Chief has two spawn locations, west of the Raging Wilds waypoint. It is possible that two Stone Golem Chiefs can spawn at the same time, one for each location.
