Rune Synergies offer you bonus traits for matching certain patterns of Rune Types. For example, arranging the Runes on your Belt with the Attack Rune first, Support Rune second, and Defense Rune last will grant you additional Damage Reduction. You can check the Rune Synergy List to the right of the Rune Sockets.
The efficiency of the Rune Synergy will depend on the lowest grade Rune equipped. You can increase the efficiency of the bonus traits by equipping higher-rarity Runes.
Rune Chance Chests are rewards you can obtain by clearing Dimensional Trials. The higher the tier you complete, the higher the level of the Rune Chance Chest you will be rewarded with.
You have a chance to aqcuire a Rune Chance Bundle in any Dynamic Event, based on your performance in the event. Opening a Rune Chance Bundle will give you either an Attack, Defense, or Support Rune ranging from Common to Rare.
You can craft a Precious Rune Chance Chest with 320 Rune Fragments and 1 Precious Polished Crystal, which has a chance to give you a Rune ranging from Rare to Epic. The crafting recipes can be found in the Other tabs of the Weapons, Armor, and Accessories Craft tabs.
List of All Crafting Materials
On the bottom-left of your Inventory window, you will find the Rune Management tab.
Opening the Rune Management window will highlight all the equipment in your Inventory that you are able to put Runes on. Select one to equip Runes on.
Besides being classified by rarities, Runes are also categorized by the type of Equipment. Runes for Rings can only be equipped on Rings and so on. This identification is made easy as Runes will be highlighted when they are able to be equipped. You can also filter the type of Runes if you would like. If you are unsure about which Runes to put on your Equipment, you can check the Rune Synergy List.
If the Rune Sockets of your equipment are locked, you can unlock them by clicking on the hammer icons on the sockets. From there, you can select if the socket will house an Attack, Defense, or Support Rune. Opening the socket will also cost you 338,800 Sollant.
You can also change the type of Rune a Rune Socket can equip by clicking on the small hammer icon below the socket. From there, you can swap the type of Rune for 169,400 Sollant.
Runes level up automatically. They do so when you have duplicates of the same type, rarity, and traits.
Levelling up your Runes increases the value of their traits. Common Runes can be levelled up to 20, Uncommon Runes up to 40, and Rare Runes up to 60. As of writing, the max level for Epic Runes has not been stated yet.
Runes offer additional traits to your equipment to further bolster your build. They can only be put on Weapons and Accessories with an Epic rarity.
There are three types of Runes, Attack, Defense, and Support. Attack Runes bolster offensive traits, Defense Runes increase defensive abilities, and Support Runes enhance supportive capabilities.
