Dissolving equipment is a means of gaining base forms of materials in Throne and Liberty (TL). See how to dissolve your equipment as well as, the benefits you gain from dissolving gear.

You can dissolve gear directly from your Inventory. Simply cycle over to the Dissolve menu, select the items you wish to dissolve, and dissolve gear in exchange for Sollant.

2a | On PC, simply hover over and click the Dissolve Button with your mouse. |
2b | On Controller, press R3 or the Right Thumbstick, and use the D-Pad to cycle to the Dissolve icon. |
3 | Select the gear you wish to dissolve. |
4 | Press designated Dissolve Button. For PC, it either pressing the dissolve button on the menu, or pressing Y on your keyboard. For controller, it will be the A Button for an Xbox Controller, and the X Button for the Dualsense. |
Dissolving gear is a good way of acquiring base materials. If it takes 5 Uncommon materials to craft 1 Rare variant, dissolving 1 Rare variant gets you 5 Uncommon materials. This will be true for most materials used in crafting. Dissolving weapons and armor may yield different results.
