Chapter Explanation
Prelude Introduction:
The prelude serves to instill in the player its core game mechanics. For its rewards, choose the headgear that fits the theme of your weapon combination. After the events of the intro, you will reach Kastleton, the true start of the game!
Chapter 1 Main Quests:
The quests of Chapter 1 are fairly simple to follow during its entirety, so progress through this entirely without thinking too much about it. However, the game introduces the inspecting mechanic through the quest "Janice's Advice", which might be tricky to follow for other players.

Chapter 2 Main Quests:
During the first parts of Chapter 2, you will venture into Windhill Shores to gather some essentials for the Wolf Hunting Contest.

After that, progress through the story as normal as it is straightforward.
Appendix Quests:
While progressing through Chapter 2, you will be introduced to optional quests called Appendix Quests, similar to those of sidequests.

Chapter 2's Appendix Quest will have you participate in The Hero of the Wolf Hunting Contest, which is connected to a dynamic event . If the quest is available, the appendix quest can be completed even if you do not win so long as you finish the objectives!
Crafting Equipment:
You will also receive an Appendix Quest that tasks you with crafting some uncommon equipment.

Finishing this quest as a quick upgrade to your gear is imperative to quicken your progress. For now, it is okay not to have a full set of uncommon equipment yet since you can complete your gear by Chapter 4.
Chapter 3 Resistance Contracts:
Starting Chapter 3, you will venture into Urstella Fields. One of the earliest quests you take on will introduce you to Resistance Contracts.

For now, prioritize taking up contracts that reward you with Accessory Lithographs since an Appendix Quest about accessories will be available! If no contracts that provide accessory lithographs show up, you can refresh the list after choosing one contract!

You will also receive Contract Coins upon completion, which allows you to purchase accessory lithographs until you have 4, or save them up to buy Mystic Keys to open Globes and Portals!
▶︎How to Farm Contract Coins
Main Quests:
Again, Chapter 3's progression is streamlined for newer players. However, two quests can be tricky! The first one is to participate in the Goblins Ritual , and the second one is to investigate the Gnoller's Staff .
Taedal's Tower:
As soon as you finish the chapter, you will receive an appendix that concerns Ashien's painting. Interacting with her and progressing this quest unlocks the Taedal's Tower .

Defeating the 1st floor boss is essential as the EXP and additional Growthstones will make progress smoother. You will unlock the 2nd boss as soon as you reach Lvl. 19.
Chapter 4 Main Quests:
One of the quicker chapters, you can just steamroll through this part as all of the quests are pretty straightforward!

Co-op Dungeons:
By finishing this chapter, you will most likely be in the Lvl. 20-21 range. As an optional way to not worry about reaching over the Lvl. 23 cap, you can run a few Co-op Dungeons! For now, Specter's Abyss will be made available to you!

Traits:
During this level range and as you transition into more difficult territory, it would be wise to invest some time studying on Traits on some of your gear to get some necessary stats such as HP and Critical Hit.

As a general note, it is better to stack on some Traits before moving on to gears of higher rarity to increase your Combat Power. While it is okay to slot in a rare weapon or two, it is recommended to focus on prioritizing your uncommon gear's traits!
▶︎How to Check Combat Power?

Note: When you do not reach the estimated level for the chapter, complete an expedition quest or two in Golden Rye Pastures or Windhill Shores!

For the most part, progressing up to Lvl. 22 is a breeze as the game is trying to ease you in on the formula of what to expect as you reach the higher levels. This level group can also be considered the transitionary period where you test out most of the weapons until you find what is suited for you.

However, if you are not able to explore much content and only focus on the main story, you will be behind a level or two. While it should be a general rule to always progress the main story when available, remember to do an optional appendix or exploration quest to keep yourself on track! You can also try out other activities that can give you some fast EXP.

Chapter Explanation
Chapter 5 Lvl. 22-23:
Before starting Chapter 5, your character must reach a Lvl. of 23. To reach this level cap, first clear the 2nd floor of Taedal's Floor, Rushing Queen Spider.

After that, you have two options: (1) Run Specter's Abyss or (2) Complete Expedition Quests on Monolith Wastelands. Most of the quests just require some time, but Treasure of Daybreak is a timed event and requires a little bit of exploring. Cut off on that time by following our guide!
▶︎Treasure of Daybreak Quest Guide
Exploration Quests:
① Desert Plunderers
② Keepsakes in the Sand
③ Dastardly Morti Guild
Main Quest:
For the most part, Chapter 5 is easy to follow and requires no guide to follow. However, the Pledge Loop section requires you to do a tricky timed sequence which can take some time to complete.
▶︎Pledge Loop Quest Guide
Appendix Quests:
There will be two appendix quests available upon completing Chapter 5. Try to complete this as they also provide a decent amount of EXP despite being easy to do.

The first appendix that you will have access to introduces you to Equipment Transfer . As a tip, it would be best to do this only to your weapons during this stage as the traits you accumulated on your uncommon gear help with progression more.

The second appendix introduces the player to the Guild Base. While you can join a guild even before this quest, it allows you to participate in Guild-exclusive activities such as Guild Contracts and Guild Raid Bosses!

Chapter 6 Lvl. 26-28:
Before proceeding to Chapter 6, your character must reach a Lvl. of 28. To reach this level cap, first clear the 3rd and 4th floor of Taedal's Floor, Screams and a Healing Song, and Whirling Goblins.

After completing the 3rd floor, complete the Expedition Quests on Abandoned Stonemason Town.
Exploration Quests:
① Won! Golem Manastone
② A Powerless Little Friend
③ Intimidating Breath
④ Stonemason's Confession
Main Quest:
Chapter 6's progression is easy enough to complete without a full walkthrough. However, the objective before the end of the quest tasks you to restore the Golem's Heart .

Starting this transition into the mid-game, almost every player will hit multiple dreaded level caps that bar them from progressing further. From now on, it will be imperative to clear Exploration Quests to reach the level caps.

By the end of Chapters 5-6, the player should arrive between Lvls. 30-31 depending on whether or not they decide to participate in Co-op Dungeons while they are progressing to get better gear.

However, make it a general rule to immediately start the next chapter if you reach the level cap even if you did not finish the Exploration Quests detailed in the progression guide!

Chapter Explanation
Chapter 7 Lvl. 31-32:
Before starting Chapter 7, your character must reach a Lvl. of 32. To reach this level cap, first clear the 5th floor of Taedal's Floor, Warrior's Cry.

After that, you will have to do two tasks: (1) Run Roaring Temple and (2) Complete Expedition Quests on Moonlight Desert and Sandworm Lair!
Exploration Quests:
① Sands That Make Money
② Secret in the Sand Dust
③ Beyond the Sandstorm
④ The Voice Behind the Mask
⑤ Stronger Sandworm
Main Quest:
Chapter 7 thrusts the player into the Sandworm Lair, Queen Bellandir's domain. While the first few parts are simple, there is a section that tasks you to understand the mechanics of Queen Bellandir Luring Device .

As an important sidenote, talk to Marcia after finishing the main quests to progress through the "Marcia's Picture" appendix given that you will naturally progress through Watcher's Post later on in Chapter 9!
Chapter 8 Lvl. 36-38:
Before proceeding to Chapter 8, your character must reach a Lvl. of 38. To reach this level cap, first clear the 6th floor of Taedal's Floor, Finding the Piton in the Flames.

After completing the 6th floor, complete the Expedition Quests on The Raging Wilds.
Exploration Quests:
① Hero of the Catapult
② Unnamed Golem
③ Cowardly Apprentice Wizard
④ War of Trees and Stone
Main Quest:
By now, it should be a known pattern that most of the Main Quests are easy to follow. Chapter 8 is no exception, especially since there are no puzzles to follow. However, this chapter will test your abilities and equipment as you will face two bosses: Havres and Riseth
Traits:
By now, you should be slowly transitioning into slotting your Rare gear with traits as you dredge through the later levels. Uncommon gear will not be able to stand against the consistent threats beyond this point!

Starting this transition into the higher levels, the level requirements take significant time to reach now since the EXP rewarded mostly leaves the player two levels short before engaging the proceeding chapter.

By the end of Chapters 7-8, the player should arrive between Lvls. 43-44 depending on whether or not they decide to participate in the Cave of Desperation.

Also, the player should focus on getting traits for their Rare equipment while progressing through these levels as the difficulty spike is palpable!

Exploration Quests:
① Elemental Tree Harvest: Manawastes
② Demon's Test
③ To the Highest Point
④ Eye That Desires Magic
⑤ Finding the Infiltration Route
⑥ Stop the Dark Ritual
Main Quest:
Chapter 9 reunites you with a familiar face and addresses one of the major fantasy tropes, the Orcs! Like all the preceding chapters, the quests are easy-to-follow, but there will be a section that needs you to activate the Blue Relic .
Chapter 10 Main Quest:
If you have completely followed the guide up until now, Chapter 10 has enough content to allow you to hit Lvl. 50! While easy enough to follow, there will be obstacles you must pass. Apart from a puzzle section where you have to avoid a petrifying gaze , you will also have to fight Berge !

With all of the time and effort, you have finally made it to Level 50. Congratulations on reaching the current pinnacle of experience in Throne and Liberty (TL)!

As for what to do after reaching Level 50, a plethora of content will be made available to you. For example, you can now grind for Epic equipment of you choosing by participating in the Level 50 Co-op Dungeons and fully scale Taedal's Tower to receive additional rewards!

Endgame Guide: Post-Game Content Loop

How Long to Reach Level 50

20-30 Hours

If you follow all of the leveling tips above, as well as take into account the bottlenecks caused by the Main Story Quest level requirements, it should take you around 20-30 hours to fully level a character from level 1 to 50. This involves doing the Main Story Quests and Exploration Quests, as well as participating in some in-game Events.

It is, however, possible to level your character even faster, with some people only taking 6-8 hours to level a character to the cap.
