The Gladiator is a tanky melee assassin that can quickly burst down enemies, leaving no room for retaliation.
The combo capabilities of the greatsword are enhanced by the spear, which adds a few extra moves in between while buffing the overall damage.
Coupled with high Health and an extremely high Hit chance, this allows weapon skill combos to hit seamlessly and provides enough margin for error if a fight goes awry.

Like most greatsword classes, this build focuses on accumulating a lot of Strength to boost Health, heavy attack chance, and extra hit chance thanks to the Vitality force passive.
Perception is taken next for more hit, and the leftover points are put into Dexterity for some criticals.

The deadly Greatsword burst combos are complemented by the spear's powerful buffs, and some other offensive skills are added to the mix.
Unyielding Sentinel also increases the chance of a heavy attack, ensuring that the highest damage skills, such as Guillotine Blade and Deathblow, have a higher chance of having a heavy attack damage modifier.
The leveling process can be a bit rough until level 15, as most damage-dealing skills are level-restricted until that point.
In the early game, prioritize Vicious Fury, Death Blow, and Cyclonic Fury first, and take the necessary specializations to speed up the leveling process.
The Greatsword and Spear passives are used to improve damage on burst windows and to stack some extra Hit and Health. Vital Force, Cold Warrior, and Malice Surge contribute heavily to this and should be prioritized.

Tevent's Warblade of Despair is arguably the best, if not the best, greatsword for PvP. Its unique passive allows players to proc it multiple times, dealing massive damage.
Even though it doesn't activate when spear skills are used, it remains the best greatsword for this build.

This build focuses on stacking as much ranged and magic evasion as possible, while also taking traits that support DPS.
The Imperator set is used to further increase the chance of a heavy melee attack, making it proc more often during the Unyielding Sentinel burst window.

After a target has been chosen, and the necessary buffs are applied, approach the target and start the rotation with Precision Dash to close the gap, while simultaneously binding the target.
Immediately follow with Abyssal Cleave to stun the target and cast Cyclonic Fury to get the maximum amount of Burst Stacks.
With enough attack speed, this gives the player enough time to use the 2nd cast of Precision Dash after Cyclonic Fury.
After the opponent is bound by the 2nd cast of Precision Dash, use Brutal Fury next. With enough Burst stacks, this allows the player to use Brutal Fury three times in quick succession.
It is natural for targets to flee at this point in the combo, and they are likely to have exhausted their escape skills by now. Use Devastating Smash to close the gap while stunning them, followed by a fully charged Death Blow.
Finish the rotation with the Stunning Blow, Ascending Slash, fully charged Guillotine Blade combo.
Death From Above Wrath Attack: Flies towards the target then descends to deal 200% of Base Damage to targets within a 5m-radius, with a 45% chance to apply Fear for 4s. Decreasing Movement Speed by 60% for 4s. Cannot be targeted while in the air. Skill cannot be canceled using a Defense Skill while in the air.

Devastating Smash Jump at a target and slash down with a Greatsword, dealing damage equal to 230% +49 to all targets within a 3m radius. Has a 42% chance to Stun the target for 2s.

Ascending Slash Deals damage equal to 265% of Base Damage + 54. Applies Collision: Prone with a 80% chance against Bound, Sleeping, or Stunned targets, or those using Static Defense, for 2.5. For each Heavy Attack, Collision: Prone duration increases by 1s.

Guillotine Blade A special skill that can only be grown with Precious Training Books: Omnipotence. Deals 630% of Base Damage + 80 damage. Deals 819% of Base Damage + 104 damage to Collision: Prone or Shocked targets. The damage is amplified by 120% against monsters. On hit, Weakens the target, decreasing Incoming Heal by 60% for 6s. The damage increases up to 100% in proportional to the charging time.

Frost Cleaving Deals 383% of Base Damage + 56 to every enemy within a 4m radius, and then deals additional damage to the same area after 1s. If target is affected by Bind: Icebound, they take 498% + 73 damage

Explosive Fury Swings a spear at a target and deals 250% of Base Damage + 20 to enemies within 2 times the attack range, with a width of 2m. On Critical Hit, applies Weaken: Ignite. Damage increases by 40% against monsters. Can be used up to 5 times consecutively. On dealing damage, gain the Ember effect.

Javelin Inferno Throws a spear at the designated target to deal 216% of Base Damage + 26. Spreads up to 3 times to 2 random targets within a 5m radius. On Critical Hit, applies the Weaken: Ignite effect. Flame Javelin can only be used upon defeating an enemy with a spear after registering the Flame Javelin trait or upon dealing damage using the Serial Explosion Strike skill. Ember stacks up to 5 times. 1 Ember stack is consumed on use.

This devastating combo can be used from a safe distance thanks to the long range of Death from Above.
If the player has both Archboss weapons, most backline targets are guaranteed to be taken down, as the damage is simply too much for them to take.
For lesser geared players, pulling this AoE combo off is still worth doing, as it still deals significant damage to multiple targets.
However, after Frost Cleaving, most enemies will start to heal, and this is where the combo will start to struggle as all CC options are exhausted.
Hopefully, allies will be ready to follow up with their own AoE CC skills so that all casts of Explosive Fury and Javelin Inferno can be used.
If not, adjust as needed and don't hesitate to retreat, as most important skills are on cooldown at this point.
