This guide explains why you should be upgrading both of your weapons in Throne and Liberty (TL). Read on to learn about stat bonuses and passives that may come with weapon upgrades.
If you are looking to boost damage, upgrading both of your weapons is always going to be a viable option.
Both weapons, regardless of what is used in the main hand, can be considered as pieces of equipment, offering stat bonuses to the player. Because of this, it is always beneficial to upgrade both weapons.
There are many ways to approach upgrading, with some methods providing more value upfront than others.
Equipping rarer weapons is the most recommended way to boost your base damage. These weapons possess generally higher stats than the weapons that are one tier below them. If you are looking to boost your weapon damage, consider replacing your gear with better versions of themselves.
Weapon enchantment is the main mode of progressing weapons in the early to mid-game of Throne and Liberty. Doing so will boost your base damage, as well as some of the supplementary stats that weapons offer.
In Throne and Liberty, all damage is based on a character's base damage. This is determined by a combination of a player's weapons, gear, stats, etc.
Stats | A player's stats can increase base damage, regardless of where it is invested. This can also be supplemented by equipping gear and weapons that increase base stats. |
---|---|
Weapon Mastery | Weapon Mastery is a skill tree mechanic in Throne and Liberty. While most mastery skills offer niche bonus stats, some can offer boosts to overall base damage. |
Main Hand vs Off Hand |
The weapon you equip in your main hand can very well determine the damage you deal. For example, in a Dagger and Greatsword build, equipping the Greatsword will significantly improve your base damage over equipping the dagger. |
