Active Skills

Shadow Strike and Devastating Smash function as engagement tools and gap closers, Binding or Stunning enemies.

Inject Venom and Umbral Spirit serve to buff damage, and should be used before combo rotations if available. Taking their respective Lightning skill specializations allows the user to inflict Thunderclouds, and are a necessity in these builds.

Stunning Blow and Ascending Slash are the main CC inflicting tools, and are used in conjunction with Shadow Strike or Devastating Smash to chain crowd control on an enemy.

Gaia Crash, Devastating Tornado, and Davinci's Courage, when taking their respective skill specializations, inflict AOE Frost on enemies, increasing their damage taken and lowering their movespeed.

Guillotine Blade, Willbreaker, and Brutal Incision are skills used to follow up on CC'd enemies.

When levelling skills, prioritize Stunning Blow, Gaia Crash, and Devastating Tornado to maximize damage.

Passive Skills

Assassin's Instincts, Destructive Fang, Vital Force, and Cold Warrior are offensive passive skills that boost damage upon meeting certain conditions.

Assassin's Step, Shadow Walker, Robust Constitution, and Indomitable Armor are defensive and supportive passive skills that help the player sustain mana and health in combat.

Prioritize Vital Force and Cold Warrior when levelling passives, as these give significant boosts to overall hit rate and heavy attack chance.

The Imperator provides valuable bonuses when its four-piece set is active. With this, mobility skills get an increase and range while heavy attack chance increases as well.

Always take accessories that provide Strength bonuses, such as Clasp of the Conqueror, and Etched Alabaster Band. Bracers of the Primal King adds Perception to this build, but also allows the use of Max Health and Health Regen traits. Embossed Granite Band provides Health Regen to your build, while Belt of the Butcherer provides Damage Reduction and Max Health.

Prioritize Max Health in this loadout, with Stun Chance and Skill Damage taken as offensive traits. Endurance should always be taken over Evasion as the latter requires high investment in the endgame to be viable.

How to Play Dagger / Greatsword Build

Mobbing and Thunderclouds Rotation

Skills - Inject VenomSkills - Umbral SpiritSkills - DaVinciSkills - Devastating TornadoSkills - Gaia Crash

This rotation will serve as the bread and butter for mobbing and applying Thunderclouds. Activate Inject Venom and Umbral Spirit, before casting DaVinci's Courage. Then, cast Devastating Tornado before Gaia Crash.

Taking the elemental skill specializations of these skills is required to maximize damage and AOE. Lightning Infusion and Lightning Spirit apply Thunderclouds, shredding the target's defenses. Meanwhile, Ice Tornado inflicts Icebound which synergizes with Frost Cleaving, as it deals bonus damage to Icebound enemies.

Bossing Skill Rotation

Skills - Inject VenomSkills - Umbral SpiritSkills - Shadow StrikeSkills - Ascending SlashSkills - DaVinciSkills - Stunning BlowSkills - Guillotine BladeSkills - Brutal Incision

This skill rotation is designed around inflicting Shocked to bosses to gain the max damage of Guillotine Blade. Before your rotation, cast Inject Venom and Umbral Spirit for your attacks to apply Thunderclouds. Blink into range with Shadow Escape to Bind the target. Follow up with Ascending Slash to chain crowd control before casting Davinci's Courage. Cast Stunning Blow before Guillotine Blade to ensure that the target has Shock or Stun to deal bonus damage from Guillotine Blade.

After this rotation, Brutal Incision with the Thunderclouds Bombing skill specialization can be activated for bonus damage before using the Mobbing and Thunderclouds rotation to reapply Thunderclouds.
