What are Skill Specializations
A Way to Strengthen Skills
Skill specializations are ways for you to modify your skills to make them stronger. Some of the specializations can improve a skill's damage, while others can increase its range. Some will even turn the skill into an entirely new skill.
Unlocks at Level 15
Skill Specialization unlocks once a you reach level 15. Upon reaching level 15, you will receive 10 Skill Specialization Points. Every level after that (up to level 30), you will receive 2 Skill Specialization Points. Afterward, you will receive 3 Skill Specialization Points every level up to level 50.
Once you reach level 50, you will have amassed a total of 100 Skill Specialization Points.
How to Specialize Skills
Spend Points at the Skill Specialization Screen
Once you have unlocked Skill Specialization, go to the Skill menu and click the Skill Specialization button in the upper left. Once there, select the weapon whose skills you want to specialize on the left side.
Once you have selected the correct weapon, select the skill you want to specialize. Its specializations will appear on the right side. You can then select the specializations you want, granted that you have enough Skill Specialization Points for the ones you want.
You Can Specialize Using the Small Icons
Alternatively, you can also select the smaller icons under the skill's name to select the Specializations you want. This is helpful if are modifying the specialization of multiple skills at once.
Some Specializations are Conflicting
It is important to note that some specializations are not compatible with others. That means that you can only pick one or the other.
For example, if you decided to pick Focused Fire Bomb for the Serial Fire Bomb Staff weapon skill, you will no longer be able to select Instant Casting for said skill.
How to Respec Specializations
Click the Respec Button
If you want to refund all of the Skill Specialization Points that you have used so far, you can click the respec button to refund them all. This will deactivate all of the Specializations you currently have activated, and will return to you all of your points.
Once you have respecced, you can now select Specializations again, provided you have enough points for the ones you want.
Click the Specializations for Small Changes
If you only need to make small changes to your Specializations, you can also just click the individual activated Specializations to return the points used to activate those specific ones.
