Some players are experiencing an error where the shader optimization is not working and freezes at a certain percentage in Throne and Liberty (TL). Read on to learn how to fix the Shader Optimization error, and what is the Shader Optimization error.

One quick method to fix the Shader Optimization error is to simply restart the game. This usually fixes the problem.
Another method to fix the Shader Optimization error is to change the Shader Preloading setting. Open the menu, go to Settings, select the Graphics tab, then turn the Shader Preloading setting to high. Afterwards, restart the game.
When the problem persists even when the trying out the fixes, it most likely mean that there are some corrupted files. To check the status of files, a file verification tool is needed.
When there are corrupted files detected, it's best to reinstall the game, and see if that fixes the problem.
The Shader Optimization Error is an error wherein the Shader Optimization process freezes at a certain percentage, preventing the game from working normally or even launching at all. It's a common error that occurs when launching or playing Throne and Liberty for the first time.
