How to Check Combat Power

In Character Screen

Combat Power
Combat power is the metric used to determine a character's capability in battle. This is a general notion used by the game to show how strong a player has become, and where they rank among other players.

Where Does Combat Power Matter?

Combat Power Requirement
Combat Power requirements are mostly seen in Co-op Dungeons, where there is a minimum requirement for the player to challenge the Dungeon.

In a multiplayer setting, Combat Power can be seen as the value a player brings to a team. Some party leaders may host parties with a soft Combat Power requirement, rejecting or kicking the player if they do not meet the standard. Some guild leaders may also implement this requirement, so it is important to increase Combat Power by any means.

Levelling Stats

Stat Breakpoints
One of the main methods of increasing the overall value of a build is by leveling the four main stats, Strength, Dexterity, Wisdom, and Perception. Each time a player levels up, they gain one point to allocate in one of the four stats. Once 20 points have been invested, leveling a stat will cost 2 points. This makes it essential to find gear that provides stat bonuses according to the needs of the build.

Stats also have breakpoints, which are level thresholds that provide bonuses when reached. For that reason, it is important to allocate your stats with stat breakpoints in mind.

Enchanting Gear

Enchanting Equipment
Another mode of increasing Combat Power is by leveling gear, this makes use of Armor, Weapon, and Accessory Growthstones.

Upgrading Gear Rarity

Transferring Equipment
In Throne and Liberty, gear rarity directly correlates with power, so upgrading whenever available is recommended. Gear progression is made easier by transferring progression from an item to another that is one rarity above it.

When transferring progression, transfer equipment that has been fully leveled to reap the maximum benefits.

Levelling Skills

Skill Levelling
Levelling skills is a straightforward way to increase damage, and Combat Power in turn. Prioritize leveling the skills you use the most in combat.

Unlocking Traits

Gear Traits Screen
Moving into the endgame, unlocking and equipping traits on gear is the main mode of progress.

Unlocking traits requires duplicates of items to be used as a material to add traits to weapons you own and plan to use. Because duplicates are required, it is recommended for players entering the endgame to fully trait Rare gear before farming for Epic gear and above.

Unlocking Masteries

Weapon Mastery
By using Training Dew or grinding the Abyss dungeons, players can grind mastery on their weapons, unlocking a skill tree that offers more stats to the player.

These skill trees branch out into three paths, with each path focusing on a specific playstyle and offering different stats. This allows players to specialize weapons for different builds.
