The Voidwastes: Dimensional Trial is pretty much identical to its normal dungeon version.
While most of the dungeon remains the same, the difficulty is increased by enemies with stronger attacks, additional mob placement, and the Dimensional Trial modifier for that week.
To unlock the boss room, players must defeat a number of enemies along the way. A progress bar will appear on the right side of the screen, indicating how many mobs the party has left to kill in the dungeon.
To top it off, the final boss has some new deadly moves that can result in a wipe if not handled correctly.
It is recommended that players thoroughly familiarize themselves with the normal version before attempting to complete the Dimensional Trial dungeon.
Voidwastes Dungeon Guide: How to Beat Shakarux
For tier 5 and above, players can no longer rely on the timing indicator of the incoming Fury or Wrath attacks from the boss. Players would have to anticipate the timing of the incoming attack and time their block or dodge accordingly.
Wrath and Fury attacks can still be identified with a circle or diamond indicator, allowing players to focus on timing their blocking skills.
During the Yellow Breath phase, three purple circles will spawn on three random party members who were not marked for the Yellow Breath attack.
At tier 5 and above, all 5 party members that weren't marked for the Breath Attack will be marked with purple circles.
The party must move in unison during this phase to avoid hitting each other with the circles. The circles may overlap, but they should not hit any party member directly.
If a party member is tagged by a purple ring, they will go into a state of fear for a few seconds. This can be fatal, as they may accidentally step on the glowing floor, leading to their doom.
To deal with this mechanic, the party must move in unison during this phase to avoid hitting each other with the purple circles.
During the Yellow Breath phase, two pillars in the arena will turn bright yellow. These pillars will spawn a glowing floor that divides part of the arena, similar to Shaikal's mechanic.
Like the rest of the glowing floors in the dungeon, stepping on them will cause the player to take heavy damage and be stunned for a short period of time.
Players would have to interact with the pillars to remove the glowing floors so that other players could safely pass through.
While the rules of this mechanic do not change, the stacks from the beam accumulate much faster compared to the normal version.
With this in mind, players must be careful not to leave beams unattended, as Shakarux can gain stacks much faster, resulting in a wipe when it reaches 30.
Ideally, party members should go in pairs, with one melee and one ranged, in order to make swapping their positions much easier.
Effect | Description |
---|---|
Damage Reflection | Reflects all physical damage within range. |
Enhance Pattern | Has an enhanced attack pattern. |
Frenzy | Increases surrounding monsters' damage dealt and damage taken after a certain period of time. |
Increase Attack Power | Increases Attack Power in stages. |
Increase Health | Increases Health in stages. |
Time Bomb | Summons a ticking time bomb upon death. |
Totem of Retribution | Summons a totoem that delivers a Stun attack to an area after a set duration. |
Each week, Dimensional Trials would have a modifier that would rotate with the dungeon available for that week. Players should be aware of the modifiers and make the necessary preparations in advance.
Upon successful completion of the Dimensional Trial, players would be rewarded with Rune chests. The rewards vary by tier, with higher tiers offering better rewards.
