How to Unlock Saurodoma Island Waypoint

Use the Gigantrite to Reach the Waypoint

To unlock the Saurodoma Island Waypoint, you will have to ride the Gigantrite, a giant whale that only appears in-game every 3 hours. Once you get on the Gigantrite, it will fly around the map. Wait for it to go near Saurodoma Island and then glide your way towards the waypoint as soon as it gets close to it.

Fonos Basin Route

If Gigantrite spawns west of Fonos Basin, you can use Purelight Tower or Starlight Observatory Ruins as boarding points. Once aboard the Gigantrite, it will fly around the map a bit but will eventually pass by Saurodoma Island before disappearing.

1a	PURELIGHT TOWER: Wait for Gigantrite at the top of Purelight Tower. Fly towards it once it gets near the tower.
1b	STARLIGHT OBSERVATORY RUINS: Wait for the Gigantrite on top of the Starlight Observatory Ruins. Hop on it once it gets near the observatory.
2	While flying towards Saurodoma Island, keep an eye out for a funnel-shaped hill since that's where the waypoint is located.
3	Once Gigantrite is near the waypoint, jump off it and then glide towards the waypoint.
4	Approach the Saurodoma Island Waypoint and activate it. You'll then unlock the ability to fast travel to Saurodoma Island.

Kastleton Route

If Gigantrite spawns west of Kastleton, it will pass by Starlight Observatory Ruins and you can use that as the boarding point. The Kastleton route is harder to use when reaching the Saurodoma Waypoint, as the Gigantrite will be a bit further from the waypoint when it passes by it.

1	Wait for the Gigantrite on top of the Starlight Observatory Ruins. Hop on it once it gets near the observatory.
2	While flying towards Saurodoma Island, keep an eye out for a funnel-shaped hill.
3	Position yourself at the edge of Gigantrite's left fin so that you'll be able to reach the waypoint in one glide.
4	Glide towards the Saurodoma Waypoint. If you positioned yourself correctly before taking off, you'll be able to reach the waypoint without any difficulties.

Stonegard Castle Route

If Gigantrite spawns west of Stonegard Castle, the Liberation Flag located north of the Temple of Sylaveth Waypoint will be your boarding point. The Stonegard Castle route is the shortest and Gigantrite will immediately make its way to the Saurodoma Island Waypoint before making its usual rounds at the mainland.

1	Wait for the Gigantrite by the Liberation Flag. Glide towards it once it gets near.
2	While approaching the waypoint, position yourself at the edge of Gigantrite's left fin so that you'll be able to reach it in one glide.
3	Glide towards the Saurodoma Island Waypoint.
