You can only use the cooking ingredients on a cooking pot to create different types of dishes that can give health or mana recovery and all sorts of buffs. The dishes with better rarity will also have better effects so try to aim for those when cooking!
You can unlock more recipes when you keep making dishes to increase your Cooking Level.

You can commonly see defeated enemies drop a cooking ingredient. Some of the enemies only drops an ingredient in a certain time of the day or weather, so be sure to check their info first before trying to farm them through enemies!
Some cooking ingredients are obtainable in certain chests in the game. You can get some of them randomly, while some can allow you to select them freely.
Fishes are one of the cooking ingredients in Throne and Liberty. Obtain a Fishing Rod through the main quest or buy it from a Contract Coin Merchant and look for an open water to start fishing.
The Medicinal and Wild Herbs can sometimes contain cooking ingredients. They are scattered in the overworld so try to gather them while exploring to get a few cooking ingredients.
You can find several cooking ingredients from any Sundries Merchants in the game. Prepare some Gold to get those ingredients and start cooking them to create a dish and get different buffs from it!

Hello, The uncommon fish oil comes from dissolving some green fish. I didn't notice which of mine did that but it's just that. Eels don't seem to work, probably cause they are not really fish per se.
