Tips for Winning in PvP

Bring a PvP Build

There is a clear distinction between PvP and PvE builds, as some skills and gear work better in each mode, with some overlap.

It is recommended that a dedicated PvP build be used to better deal with the challenges of this type of content.

Use Morphs

Morphs can be used to reposition to a better location or to traverse the area. One practical use of morphs is to disengage from an enemy and wait for their buffs to expire. It can also be used for re-entry into a battle and to close the gap.

The Shapeshift morph can be used to impersonate a monster or a harmless mob. This can be used to pass by players unnoticed, or to sneak up on unsuspecting players.

Utilize Proper Usage of Guardians

With long cooldowns, Guardians can be used to turn the tide of battle upon activation. They can be used to bind enemies, mitigate damage, recover mana, and provide other useful effects.

Prepare Items for PvP

Consumables are a must in PvP because they have tangible benefits that players can take advantage of. Stellarites help deal damage, while some consumables like Rare Purification Remedy: Fighting Spirit are useful for dealing with stuns.

How to Initiate PvP

Ways To Participate in PvP

Engage in Duels

Duels can be initiated in any designated PvP Arena. There are no rewards for winning, but there are no penalties for losing. However, winning or losing a duel does contribute to the kill ranking system, so keep that in mind.

Kastleton Arena

Players can participate in duels in the Kastleton City Arena. Note that anyone can participate in the duel as long as they are inside the arena.

Guild Base PvP

The Guild Base also has an arena where guild members can participate in PvP. Therefore, only members of the same guild can participate in duels within the Guild Base.

Where Is the Guild Base?

Fight in the Arena

Throne and Liberty - Arena

The Arena is where players' opponents are determined by matchmaking. Winning battles allows players to advance in their weekly mission, rewarding them with Arena Coins.

Matchmaking

Throne and Liberty - Arena
There are two main modes of Arena PvP. Normal and Ranked.

In Normal Mode, players' matches are not determined by rank and they can queue up with any team size.

For Ranked Mode, players can join the queue via Individual Match or Team Match. In Ranked Mode, the system will always try to match players who are closer in rank.

In Individual Match, participants are divided into two teams of three. All entrants are players who queued alone.

In Ranked Team Matches, players would have to queue up in teams of three to participate and would receive a separate ranking from individual matches.

Friendly Matches

Friendly matches are played by inviting players to participate in Arena PvP in teams of three. There are no rank restrictions for friendly matches, but there are no rewards. Friendly matches are best used for practice or sparring.

Weapon Limit

Weapon Count Limit
Throne and Liberty - Sword and Shield Sword and Shield 1

Throne and Liberty - Longbow Longbow 2
Throne and Liberty - Crossbows Crossbows 2
Throne and Liberty - Wand Wand 1

Throne and Liberty - Staff Staff 2

Each team would have a limit on the number of weapons they could bring. As a general rule, each team can only have one Sword and Shield user and one Wand user, and the rest can only have 2 users of the same weapon.

It would be wise for prebuilt teams to discuss preferred classes to match each other's play styles before signing up for a match, and to avoid any overlap.

World Events

PvP Events
Peace Participants must compete against each other to achieve a specific goal. They cannot attack each other directly.
Conflict Similar to Peace, participants have to fulfill a given objective, but they can actively engage with one another.
Dominion Players would be randomly assigned to a team in which they would have to complete the objective while competing against other teams.
Guild Participants compete by trying to complete the given objective. Rewards are based on the guild's performance in the event.

Throne and Liberty has several dynamic events that occur at different times of the day. To win in events where players can attack each other directly, it is recommended to have a build that specializes in PvP to have a higher chance of winning against other players.
