17th Floor Secret Dungeon: Chaos Archwizard Overview

Shield of Stalwart Cooperation is the 17th Floor of Taedal's Tower in Throne and Liberty (TL) where you must fight Chaos Archwizard. Read on to see an overview of Chaos Archwizard as well as the possible rewards and drops upon completion!

How to Beat Chaos Archwizard

Chaos Archwizard Mechanics

Fight Alongside the Adventurer

To start the fight, approach the Adventurer and get within his shield. This will protect the player from the explosion that occurs when Chaos Archwizard spawns. After that, the player will be free to approach the Chaos Archwizard and initiate combat, with the Adventurer joining as an ally.

Run to the Shield

Throughout the fight, Chaos Archwizard will teleport the player and the adventurer to opposite ends of the arena. There will be areas highlighted in purple that will deal constant damage to the player. Make your way to the adventurer and get within his shield before the Chaos Archwizard launches an arena-wide AOE attack.

Cover the Adventurer

The Adventurer begins preparing an attack. At the same time, Chaos Archwizard begins winding up a Fury Attack directed at the adventurer. Stand inbetween the two and parry the Fury Attack with a defensive skill. Parrying or tanking the attack will allow the Adventurer to launch an attack, dealing good damage to the Chaos Wizard.

Chaos Archwizard Attack Patterns

Teleporting Zone

Chaos Archwizard highlights a zone immediately in front of it, teleporting anyone caught inside to the edge of the arena. The delay is long enough for the player to move out from the effective range.

Line Blast Attack

Chaos Archwizard attacks in a line in front of itself, dealing damage to the player as long as it is active. This can be avoided my strafing to the side. This attack isn't dangerous as long as the player moves out fast enough. Staying within the active zone can cause the player to take multiple instances of damage.

AOE Smash Attack

Chaos Archwizard does a big AOE attack, dealing damage to the player and the adventurer. The damage of this attack is minimal, and comparable to normal attacks.
