How to Drain the Water: A Goblin's Important Job

A Goblin's Important Job is an Exploration Quest in Throne and Liberty (TL). Read on to learn how to drain the water and what the rewards are for quest completion.

How to Drain the Water

1. Talk to the Goblin Lich

Talk to the Goblin Lich

The Goblin Lich can be found on the north side of Old Goblin Town in the Carmine Forest region. Talk to the Goblin Lich by pressing the F key when prompted.
Note: In an earlier version of Throne and Liberty, it was required for it to rain in the region before being able to access this quest. In recent updates, rain is no longer a prerequisite to access the quest, and you can complete it in any weather.

Interact with the Drainage Devices

Nearby the Goblin Lich, you can find three Drainage Devices. Drain the water by interacting with them. You will be able to see the water gradually decrease as you go. You can interact with all of them at once, but it is faster to interact with only one of them.

Interact with Drainage Device Around 40 Times

If you are doing this quest by yourself, you have to interact with the Drainage Device around 40 times in order to fully drain the water solo. Having other players operate the other one or two Drainage Devices will significantly speed up quest completion.

Goblin Lich Will Tell You When You Are Halfway

Once you are halfway into draining the water, around 20 interactions, Goblin Lich will say "You're almost there!" You can see this message pop up in the chat on the lower right of your screen.

Talk to Goblin Lich After Draining the Water

After draining the water, you will be unable to interact with the Drainage Devices and Goblin Lich will say "Now I'm going down!" Wait for Goblin Lich as they travel down to the gravesite then back up again.

The Water Will Fill Up Again

Once Goblin Lich returns to their previous location, the water will fill back up again. You do not need to drain it again when this happens. Simply talk to Goblin Lich again by interacting with them to complete the quest.
