Is There a Rain Schedule?

There is No Definite Schedule

Throne and Liberty In Game Rain

The rain in Throne and Liberty has no consistent schedule, as rainy weather could go as often as hourly to as sparse as having two-to-four hours in between each shower. What is consistent about the rain in-game is that it will always last for fifteen minutes once it starts. Additionally, rain is consistent across all regions in the game, except for indoor and underground areas where the rain does not affect them.

While it is difficult to predict when it would rain in the game, it has been observed across all servers that the rainy weather often starts on the second and fourth quarter of an hour, for example 12:15-12:30PM and 12:45-1:00PM.

Rain Can Be Summoned

There is a way to force rainy weather in the game. The top player in Activity Ranking can use a Commander's Seal in order to cast Transcending Power: Heavy Rain. This power summons rain fall for ten minutes throughout the whole server.

How to Check for Rain

Hover Over Icon on Minimap

To check the current weather outside any menus, hover over the icon on the top-left of the minimap. It does not indicate how long rainy or clear weather will last like the time of day, so take note when the rain starts so you could start your timer off for fifteen minutes.

Check in the Map

You can also view the current weather from the map menu on the bottom-right.

Weather Cannot Be Seen Indoors

Players inside buildings or underground in dungeons will not be able to see the current weather.

How Does Rain Affect Gameplay?

Opens or Closes Pathways

The rain can change the terrain and access of certain areas in the game, making some locations accessible or inaccessible during rainy weather. A good example of this is the Sanctum of Desire, that can only be entered when it is raining.

Gives Effects

When exposed to rain, players and enemies can get effects. Usually it is the Wet effect, which can affect the efficiency of some weapon skills, such as one of the Staff's skills called Chain Lightning. Utilize these effects during combat and be wary of enemies also utilizing it.

Offers Different Kind of Collectables

Throne and Liberty Bloomed Wild Herb

Some collectables change during rainy weather, turning into a different version of their original selves. Notable ones are Wild Herbs turning into Bloomed Wild Herbs, and Star Trees turning into Fruit Star Trees. The rainy weather-versions of these collectables also yield different items when gathered from, like how you can get Golden Apples from Fruit Star Trees and not from normal Star Trees.
