Yellow Shard is one of the Shards that you can exchange for TMs in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (BDSP). See their locations and effects in-game.

You can exchange your Yellow Shards for TMs by going to Route 212 and looking for the house of the Shard Lady. She will ask for ten Yellow Shards in exchange for a TM.

Yellow Shard is obtainable by digging in the Grand Underground. Use your pickaxe first to confirm the item before completely digging it out with your sledgehammer. The chances of getting them is relatively low, so be patient when it comes to digging!
