How to Use Strength

Press the A Button Towards the Gray Boulder

Pokemon BDSP Push Boulders with Strength

You can use Strength by pressing the A button towards the gray boulder. Once you have activated the hidden move, walk towards the boulder to move it across the map.

Defeat Byron to Use Strength as a Hidden Move

Pokemon BDSP - Defeat Byron to Use Strength as a Hidden Move
You cannot use Strength as a Hidden Move unless you have defeated Byron, the gym leader at Canalave City.

He has three Steel type Pokemon that you need to take care of. We recommend having a Rapidash or a Lucario on your team to deal with them.

After defeating him, you can use Strength to push boulders so you can access areas you can't access before.

Use Poketch and Switch to the Hidden Moves Screen

Pokemon BDSP - Poketch Press the Red Button to Switch Apps
You can also use Strength as a hidden move from the Poketch app. If the Poketch app does not appear in the upper right corner of the screen, press the R button twice. If a small screen is displayed, press the R button once to enlarge it.

Once the Poketch app is displayed, press the red button to switch to the Hidden Moves screen and select Strength from the menu.

It is recommended to simply press the A button towards the gray boulder as it is faster to do so.
