How to Rematch Elite Four Aaron

Rematch Them after Becoming Champion

BDSP - Rematch Elite Four

You can rematch the Elite Four at any time after becoming champion by entering through the door in the Pokemon League. However, you will only battle the same team that they had from the first time you battled them and you will not obtain any rewards.

How to Unlock Aaron's Rematch Teams

First Rematch Team: Get the National Dex

BDSP - Getting the National Dex

To unlock the first Elite Four rematch team, you will first need to get the National Dex by seeing all the Pokemon native to the Sinnoh Dex. Once you have obtained the National Dex, you will face off against their new teams once you enter the Pokemon League door.

Second Rematch Team: Capture or Defeat Heatran

BDSP - Heatran in Stark Mountain

The second rematch team of the Elite Four is unlocked after capturing or defeating Heatran in Stark Mountain. Once the Stark Mountain event is completed, you can return to the Pokemon League to face off against their final team.

How to Beat Elite Four Aaron (First Rematch)

Watch Out for Yanmega's Speed Boost

BDSP - Yanmega Uses Speed Boost

Yanmega will get an increase in Speed after every turn due to its ability Speed Boost. Since Yanmega is likely to outspeed your Pokemon every turn, bring out a Pokemon that can withstand Yanmega's attacks while also being able to deliver super effective moves.

Set Up Stat Boosts During Vespiquen

BDSP - Garchomp Using Swords Dance

If you plan on using stat-boosting moves such as Dragon Dance or Swords Dance during the battle, you can set them up while Vespiquen is out on the field. Though Vespiquen can use Defend Order to make it more difficult to take down, this allows you to set up additional stat boosts to sweep the rest of Aaron's team.

Use a Fire Type During the Rematch

BDSP - Fire Type Against Scizor

Fire type Pokemon are highly recommended for this battle since they have a type advantage against all of Aaron's Pokemon, aside from Drapion. They are especially useful against Scizor because it has high defenses but is 4x weak to Fire type moves.

Because Scizor holds an Occa Berry, the first Fire type move used against it will be halved, but after the first turn, you can fully take advantage of its 4x weakness.

How to Beat Elite Four Aaron (Second Rematch)

Similar to the First Rematch

BDSP - Similar to First Aaron Rematch

There is very little change to Aaron's team during the second rematch aside from the level increase and the addition of Flygon, so you can defeat Aaron similar to how you defeated him during the first rematch.

Use Ice Type Moves on Flygon

BDSP - Ice Type Move Against Flygon

Aaron's newly added Flygon is 4x weak to Ice, so it is best to carry a Pokemon with an Ice type move to easily defeat it. In particular, we recommend teaching Ice Fang to Gyarados, who can play a major role in all Elite Four rematch battles.
