The Ability Patch is an item that allows you to get the Hidden Ability of a Pokemon. This item is great in competitive breeding and training as the Hidden Abilities of some Pokemon are coveted.
The Ability Capsule, a similar item, only allows Pokemon to change between non-Hidden Abilities.

Ability Patch cannot switch a Pokemon's Hidden Ability to its regular Ability. There are no ways to change it and is permanently stuck to the Pokemon.
Ability Patch is available for purchase at the Battle Tower for 200 BP.
You need to beat Cynthia and become the champion before getting access to the Battle Tower, where you can earn BP.
