Power Band is one of the Training Items found in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (BDSP). See the effects of Power Band as well as how to find and get it.

Effect An item to be held by a Pokémon. It reduces Speed but allows the holder's Sp. Def stat to grow more after battling.

Pass Down Sp. Def IV through Breeding

The Power Items may be used to choose a specific IV to pass down from a parent through breeding. When held by a Pokemon when breeding, the Power Band guarantees that parent's Special Defense IV will be passed down to the offspring.

Although useful for a single stat, the Destiny Knot outclasses this item by guaranteeing 5 of the parents' 12 IVs instead of just 1, making it a more useful item for breeding IVs.

It is notable to mention that the Power Band's effect stacks with Destiny Knot but, you'll only still be able to guarantee 5 of the IVs to be passed down to the offspring, with one of them being the Attack stat.

Power Band is available for purchase at the Battle Tower for 10 BP.

You need to beat Cynthia and become the champion before getting access to the Battle Tower, where you can earn BP.
