How to Beat Byron's Rematch Team

Work around Skarmory's Stealth Rock

BDSP - Byron

Though Skarmory can easily be taken down with Fire type moves, its Sturdy ability will prevent it from going down on the first hit. It will likely use the move Stealth Rock on its first turn, and there is almost no way to avoid this. While you are switching out your Pokemon, keep in mind that there is Stealth Rock on the field.

Switch to a Pokemon Resistant to Head Smash

BDSP - Aggron Using Head Smash

Aggron is locked on to the move Head Smash due to its head item Choice Scarf, and its ability Rock Head will prevent it from taking recoil damage. To counter Aggron, send out a Pokemon that resists this move and can inflict super effective damage such as Lucario.

Watch Out for Steelix's Earthquake

BDSP - Chrizard Against Steelix

Steelix has the move the Earthquake, which can easily take down many Fire types and some Fighting types like Lucario. To deal with Steelix, use a Pokemon that is immune to the move Earthquake like Charizard or Heat Rotom.

Send Out a Pokemon that Resists Empoleon's Moves

BDSP - Byron

Due to its held item Expert Belt and ability Torrent, Empoleon can easily take down any Fire type in your team, so it is best to send out a Pokemon that can resist its attacks and inflict super effective damage.

Use Magnezone's Other Weaknesses Aside from Ground

BDSP - Fighting Type Moves against Magnezone

Though Magnezone is 4x weak to Ground, it is not recommended to use Ground type moves against it since it has the move Magnet Rise. Instead, take it down with its other weaknesses like Fire or Fighting.

Beat Bastiodon with Fighting or Ground Type Moves

BDSP - Fighting Type Moves against Batiodon

Bastiodon is the final Pokemon in Byron's party, and can easily be taken down with a Fighting or Ground type move after breaking its Sturdy. However, keep in mind that it has the move Roar which may force you to switch out Pokemon.
