No, just find someone to trade with. The discord BDSP is filled with a lot of players who want to trade for evolutions. Also Pokémon home allows you to transfer any Pokémon from recent games from one game to another as long as they are not in your party. Why are you buying two games you do not want? I assume you have either diamond or pearl correct?
