I got really lucky with Giratina. I used a level 33 Golduck with a Quick Claw and used Soak to make it a water type, then when it got knocked out, I used Luxray’s Thunder Wave and then switched to Absol and used False Swipe. It took 3 Dusk Balls to catch!
You guys seem to have the stat spread for origin form and altered form mixed up. Altered is the bulky form and origin is the attack focused form
To get the Griseous Orb, catch Giratina at Turnback Cave and then head to Ramanas Park with Giratina in your party. You can then trade shards for the Distortion Slate and enter the cave to the East in the park. You'll battle an uncatchable Lv100 Shadow Giratina and after you win the Griseous Orb will be on the ground.
