How to get Into the Altus Plateau

Ways to Get Into the Altus Plateau
Method 1: Grand Lift of Dectus

Method 1: Grand Lift of Dectus

1	To use the Grand Lift of Dectus, you must have both halves of the Dectus Medallion. The Dectus Medallion (Left) can be found in a chest at the very top of Fort Haight in Limgrave.
2	The Dectus Medallion (Right) can be found in a chest at the top of Fort Faroth in Caelid.
3	Once you have both halves of the medallion, use the Grand Lift of Dectus to get to the Altus Plateau.

Method 2: Ruin-Strewn Precipice

1	Make your way up the river in the northeastern part of Liurnia to the Ruin-Strewn Precipice. ▶ Ruin-Strewn Precipice Walkthrough and Location
2	Ascend the Ruin-Strewn Precipice and fight your way through enemies until you reach Magma Wyrm Makar. ▶ How to Beat Magma Wyrm Makar
3	Defeat Magma Wyrm Makar then ride the elevator to the Altus Plateau and touch the Abandoned Coffin Site of Grace.

Method 3: Through Volcano Manor

1	Another, more obscure way to get to the Altus Plateau is to die via the Abductor Virgin's grab attack found by taking the giant waterwheel elevator at Raya Lucaria all the way down.
2	Dying to the Raya Lucaria Virgin Abductor's grab attack will transport you to Volcano Manor. This locks you out from fast traveling out of this area until you rest at a Site of Grace. ▶ How to Beat Abductor Virgins
3	After beating the Abductor Virgin bosses, make your way out into Mt. Gelmir and find your way to the Altus Plateau.

Path 1: From the Grand Lift of Dectus

1	If you came from the Grand Lift of Dectus, head north to touch the Altus Plateau Site of Grace. The two Golems guarding the lift are not aggressive and will not attack unless you attack them first.
2	Head back to the main road and follow it, heading east. Before going up onto the ramp, touch the nearby Altus Highway Junction Site of Grace.
3	Head up the ramp guarded by lots of enemies and two Tree Sentinels. Run past or kill all of them, then touch the Outer Wall Phantom Tree Site of Grace behind the large doorway. ▶ How to Defeat the Tree Sentinel

Path 2: From the Ruin-Strewn Precipice

1	If you came from the Ruin-Strewn Precipice, touch the touch the Abandoned Coffin Site of Grace, then follow the path heading northeast. Watch out for Ancient Dragon Lansseax Fight or run past her, then keep following the path. ▶ How to Beat Ancient Dragon Lansseax
2	Follow the path and turn right to Erdtree-Gazing Hill Site of Grace. Make sure to pick up the nearby Golden Seed. If you have advanced Millicent's Questline, she can be found near here as well. ▶Millicent Questline and Location
3	Head south to the Altus Plateau Site of Grace. Head down to the main road and follow the path east.
2	Keep following the path heading east. Before going up onto the ramp, touch the nearby Altus Highway Junction Site of Grace.

Path to Leyndell

1	Touch the Outer Wall Phantom Tree Site of Grace and get the two nearby Golden Seeds.
2	Follow the path heading northeast. Be careful of a Valiant Gargoyle (drops Gargoyle's Great Axe when defeated) that will drop down. Kill or run past it and keep heading northeast. You can also find two more Golden Seeds past the Gargoyle.
3	Along the road, a fragile-looking enemy will turn into a Margit clone. Kill or run past it and head for the Outer Wall Battleground Site of Grace.
4	Keep following the path east and fight Draconic Tree Sentinel. ▶How to Beat Draconic Tree Sentinel

Leyndell Method 2: Teleporter in the Prince of Death's Throne

1	If you follow Fia's questline, you will eventually get to the Prince of Death's Throne in the Deeproot Depths. ▶Deeproot Depths Interactive Map and Region Guide
2	After defeating Lichdragon Fortissax and finishing the final steps of Fia's questline, you are now free to interact with the teleporter in this area. Touch it and it will take you inside Leyndell. Note: If you use this method, the door behind the Draconic Tree Sentinel will remain blocked until you kill it. ▶Fia Questline and Location

How to Get to Mt. Gelmir and the Volcano Manor

Path 1: Through the Altus Plateau

1	Make your way to the north of Altus Plateau, past the Minor Erdtree. Then circle around to the south west, heading for the Bridge of Iniquity and making sure to touch any other Sites of Grace along the way.
2	Past the Bridge of Iniquity you will find an area full of Abductor Virgins and soldiers. There will be a ladder nearby (marked with an 'X' in the map above) that you can climb, but it may be hard to spot. Hug the cliff wall to avoid the Abductor Virgins and to spot the ladder more easily.
2	Touch the First Mt. Gelmir Campsite Site of Grace once you're at the top, and keep making your way westward and climbing ladders up the mountain.
2	Keep on making your way westward, crossing the rock bridge and climbing more ladders. You may choose to fight or just run past any enemies you run into. There is also a Nomadic Merchant along the way.
3	Touch the Ninth Mt. Gelmir Campsite Site of Grace and then use the Spirit Spring to get to the top of the cliff. Get ready to fight or flee from the Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast. ▶How to Beat Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast
3	Cross the rock bridge from where the Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast was found and make a hard right, heading a little southeast and you will find yourself at the front door of Volcano Manor. ▶Volcano Manor Walkthrough

Path 2: Rya's Questline

1	Talk to Rya in Liurnia of the Lakes to begin her questline. ▶Rya Questline and Location
2	Fulfill her request and return her necklace to her and she will give you an invitation to the Volcano Manor in return.
3	Meet her in the Altus Plateau and she will teleport you to the Volcano Manor.

Path 3: Abductor Virgin in Raya Lucaria

1	Use the waterwheel elevator inside the Academy of Raya Lucaria and go to the very bottom.
2	There you will find an Abductor Virgin. Die to its grab attack and you will be transported to the Subterranean Inquisition Chamber underneath Volcano Manor. Be wary about using this method as you will be locked out of teleporting until you rest at a Site of Grace.
