Rune Arc Lore Description

Lore Description
"A shard of the shattered Elden Ring. Grants the blessing of an equipped Great Rune upon use. Even if no Great Rune is equipped, it will slightly increase maximum HP upon use. The lower arc of the Elden Ring is held to be the basin in which its blessings pool. Perhaps this shard originates from that very arc."

Defeat a Boss in Co-Op

You can obtain a Rune Arc as a reward for helping another player defeat a boss in their world. You need to use the Tarnished's Furled Finger or the Small Golden Effigy to a send out a co-op sign and wait to be summoned as a cooperator in another player's world.

Defeat the Host of Fingers as an Invader

You can also obtain a Rune Arc for successfully defeating another player if you invade them in their world.

Use the Festering Bloody Finger or the Bloody Finger to look for worlds to invade and wait to be summoned in another player's world. Alternatively, you can use the Duelist's Furled Finger to send out a sign to request for duels.

Defeat an Invader as a Hunter

Another way to get Rune Arcs online is by defeating an Invader when you are summoned through the Blue Cipher Ring.

Rare Chance to Drop From Rats

You can obtain Rune Arcs from killing Rats, but they have a very low chance to drop. Having high Discovery will increase your chances, however you will need to invest points in Arcane.

You can find a Rune Arc on a dead body hidden behind an illusory wall in the Church of Cuckoo at the Academy of Raya Lucaria.

From the entrance, head east to find the wall. Hit the wall to reveal the secret area that contains coffins.

You can obtain a Rune Arc from the dead body sitting in front of the bookshelves inside the Cliffbottom Catacombs. There is an Omen enemy guarding this area, so you may need to defeat or outrun it to pick up the item from the corpse.
