Throne and Liberty has several microtransactions available that allow players to earn extra rewards such as premium currency, cosmetics, and materials. See the list of all the microtransactions available in the game here.
List of Contents
Throne and Liberty has a variety of microtransactions available in the Special Shop menu, and most of them cost the premium in-game currency Lucent.
While Lucent can be purchased with real-world money, it is also earnable purely through in-game activities, which means even F2P players can eventually purchase or avail of certain microtransaction items.
Throne and Liberty's main offerings are its Passes, each with free and Premium versions. The Leveling Log serves as a one-time Leveling Pass that offers rewards for leveling up and completing missions, with a Premium tier that can be bought for more rewards like materials and cosmetics.
The Battle Pass, on the other hand, refreshes around every month and contains its own missions, rewards, and currency for us in the Battle Pass Shop. It also has a Premium version for more material and cosmetic rewards and more missions for faster leveling.
Rather than Equipment and the like, most of the individual items for sale in the Special Shop are Cosmetics and Consumables that simply offer aesthetic options or strictly minor and temporary bonuses to your character.
This minimizes TL's pay-to-win experience, as most true combat and power upgrades will still come from actual gameplay and grinding.
Technically speaking, players that purchase Lucent can buy gear and potential combat enhancements via the Auction House, if they choose to buy Equipment and Trait Extracts. However, only base-level gear procured from non-instanced content is allowed to be auctioned in the House, so it's not a total P2W enabler.
As previously mentioned, Lucent can be accumulated even by F2P players, so the House still offers advantages to non-paying players.
The most unique microtransaction in the Shop is Solisium's Blessing, which provides a companion that allows you to access certain shops and features without having to teleport to town, increases your maximum holding capacity for different slots and resources, enhances Morph animations, and makes certain items in the Special Shop available for purchase.
Lucent Bundle | Price in USD |
---|---|
Lucent x120 | USD 2.7 |
Lucent x360 | USD 8 |
Lucent x1,135 | USD 23.9 |
Lucent x1,960 | USD 39.9 |
Lucent x1960 and 1,000,000 Sollant |
USD 39.9 *Monthly 2/2 Stock |
Lucent x4,140 | USD 79.9 |
As mentioned earlier, Lucent is Throne and Liberty’s premium in-game currency and is needed to make purchases in the Special Shop and Auction House.
Lucent is account-shared, meaning you can earn and sell Lucent in a shared pool across all your different characters.
As stated in the earlier section, Solisium's Blessing provides various benefits like increases to some of your max resources and access to exclusive Shop items. This Blessing cannot be purchased with Lucent, and costs USD 8.
Solisium's Blessing grants you a companion named Solia that can be summoned for you to access crafting, the Sundries Shop, Storage, and Resistance Contracts wherever you are, negating the need to teleport to town.
The Blessing also raises the maximum number of resources you can hold.
Specifically, it raises your maximum simultaneous Resistance Contracts to 7 and Contract Scrolls to 7, maximum Dimensional Contract Token I and II, and your Free Restorations of lost EXP after death to 10.
Solisium's Blessing increases your number of Skill Quick Slot Sets to 6 and your number of Equipment and Stats Sets to 6, making it easier to prepare presets to switch to.
The Special Shop contains bundles of materials and consumables that are exclusive to Solisium's Blessing holders, which become purchasable with Lucent and Sollant if you have the Blessing active.
Aside from those stated above, Solisium's Blessing has a few more minor benefits such as discounting the Teleport fee by 90% and increasing the looting speed and range of your Amitoi.
It also provides visual enhancements to your Morph when accelerating, to your transformation in and out of a Morph, and to your teleporting animation.
As previously mentioned, players can purchase Premium versions of both the Leveling Pass, which will unlock premium rewards in the Leveling Log, and of the Battle Pass.
The Leveling Pass unlocks the premium rewards in the Leveling Log, consisting of both material rewards to accelerate your upgrading experience and cosmetics.
There are currently separate Premium Leveling Passes for Levels 1-50, at 500 Lucent, and Levels 51-55, at 1,000 Lucent.
The premium Battle Pass costs 700 Lucent, and will unlock more crafting materials, in-game currency, and cosmetic rewards.
Aside from the regular Daily, Weekly, and Always missions, you will also unlock Premium missions for sources of additional Battle Pass progress.
Weapon Cosmetics change your weapon's appearance without providing any bonuses or alterations to their stats. You can purchase one of each cosmetic per account for 600 Lucent each.
Morph appearances can be changed to choose your transformation when you dash, glide, or swim. Obtaining Morphs grants Growth Points that raise the Growth Level of a Morph type for speed, acceleration, and stamina buffs.
Morphs can be obtained through normal gameplay, but are also purchasable for 800 Lucent in the Special Shop. Moreover, the Morphs in the Shop grant 3 Growth Points each for their respective Morph types.
Amitoi are collectible companions that serve as your guides, as well as personal healers if you have World Tree Leafs. They can also be sent out on Amitoi Expeditions to passively gather materials for you.
Amitoi can be collected through gameplay, but they are also purchasable in the Special Shop for 350 Lucent each.
The primary character cosmetics available in the Special Shop are Outfits that change your appearance without providing stats or buffs. Sewing Thread and Dye are also sold to fine-tune specific parts of your outfit.
Character cosmetic items are sold for both Lucent and Ornamental Coins. Ornamental Coins are mainly acquired from accomplishing the Collection Codex.
Various consumables, ranging from Food and Remedies to Rename Scrolls and Server Transfer Tickets, are available in the Special Shop at different prices of Lucent, Sollant, and USD depending on the item.
Certain items in the Special Shop are only purchasable with Loyalty Points, which are earned by purchasing items marked with the Loyalty Point icon and collectible amount of Points on the upper right of their Shop image.
All of the microtransactions and premium items, excluding auctioned items in the Auction House, are located in the Special Shop. To go here, just click the Special Shop button in your Main Menu to start going through the available listings.
