On January 21, 2025, Tico, Globalization Design Manager for Throne and Liberty, discussed a variety of upcoming changes, planned content drops, and what's currently in development for the game.
Talandre Release
The next planned content drop will be the release of Talandre, a new region that will be released on the Throne and Liberty global servers. It will be accompanied by a number of planned gameplay enhancements and other changes.
The release date for Talandre will be announced on the Eye of Solisium video hosted by Godspeed, which will be released on January 28th.
List of Changes in the Release of Talandre
- Combat Enhancements - Changes such as allowing players to maintain their normal movement speed while attacking.
- Consistency of movement controls between in combat and out of combat
- Increased base melee attack range
- Change from camera-based to character-based relative movement
- Reworked weapon mastery
- Targeting system improvements
- T2 weapons will be introduced to the game and will be upgradeable to +12. Archboss weapons will now also be upgradeable to +12 and will receive buffs to match the power of T2 weapons.
Server Consolidation
The Throne and Liberty team plans to consolidate servers to maintain a competitive environment between servers. This includes the auction house.
There will be a server transfer period that will remove restrictions between early access and launch server transfers.
More information will be shared by the Throne and Liberty team in a separate article that will be released within the week, so stay tuned!
January 23, 2025 Changes
These changes have been confirmed for release on January 23, 2025.
- End Dungeon Chests can now be claimed on Dimensional Trials.
- UI elements that display contextual information about guild contributions for bosses in conflict mode.
- Added nighttime chests to the Shadowed Crypt for PvP players to fight over.
- The castle siege event has been moved to 8pm and will affect the scheduled castle siege on January 26th and all subsequent castle sieges.
Improvements Planned for February
The changes are currently scheduled for release in February, but are subject to change.
- Mouse and keyboard support for consoles scheduled for release on February 6th.
- Added the option to open multiple chests within a single dungeon run for 1-star co-op dungeons on February 13.
Changes Under Development
There are several changes planned for the game. However, it is still in development, and there is still no release date yet for these changes.
- Implementation of changes to reduce situations that can be a source of toxicity, especially in co-op dungeons.
- QoL changes such as streamlined inventory management for both regular items and runes.
- Possible reduction of materials to reduce material overload.
- Adding additional avenues of gear progression.
- Field bosses will transition from open world PvP to GvG format.
Feedback Is Encouraged
Most of the changes have come from player feedback, and more player feedback is encouraged.
Players can respond to surveys and leave reviews on the platform they play on to provide additional feedback, as well as suggestions for changes or content they would like to see added.
