How to Beat the Golem

How to Beat the Golem

Hit the Glowing Cores

Dragon

The Golem does not flinch to conventional damage, as they are even resistant to elemental attacks. However, all Golems have glaring weaknesses, those being the glowing cores surrounding their bodies.

To defeat the Golem, all it takes is accuracy and patience to remove these cores. Look to climb and hack at the weak spot if you are using a melee vocation. If you are using a ranged class, look to aim at these spots from a safe distance!

Prioritize the Hidden Cores

Golems have four orbs scattered across their body; each has a health threshold before fizzling out. Shattering a core lessens your opportunities to deal damage to the Golem. Losing two cores will result in the Golem entering an enraged state.

To avoid scrambling to hit the remaining cores during their enraged state, prioritize orbs that are not easy to hit so that you can consistently and safely dismantle the Golem!

Use Blunt or Explosive Attacks

Dragon

Golems resist all sorts of damage but are vulnerable to blunt damage. Blunt damage includes striking at the cores with a warhammer or lodging an explosive arrow into one of their cores.

Doing so results in a chunky amount of damage, often removing one of the cores after 2-3 hits. Bring either a Warrior with a hammer or an Archer with Explosive Arrow to make quick work of these constructs!

Watch Out for Enraged Swings

After the Golem loses a set amount of cores, it will enter an enraged state. Depending on the Golem, the color change varies, but they all have the same mannerisms. An enraged Golem will do wide swings in an erratic way that can one-shot the Arisen.

Furthermore, if you were to cling to the Golem, there is a likely chance you would get swatted down by one of those swings and lose the fight. Compose yourself and patiently chip away at the remaining core to defeat this opponent!
