Have a Pawn with the Woodland Wordsmith Specialization

To understand the Elvish language in Dragon's Dogma 2, you will need a pawn with the Woodland Wordsmith specialization to accompany you. This pawn you bring can be your own pawn or someone else's!

Do keep in mind that if the pawn that has the Woodland Wordsmith specialization dies, you will lose the ability to understand Elvish!

How to Get Woodland Wordsmith's Tome

Increase Affinity With any Elf in Sacred Arbor

1 Give a Bunch of Flowers
Press the Give Gift button and then choose the Bunch of Flowers. Make a Bunch of Flowers by combining Morning Tide with any flower!
2 Rest in the Inn
After giving the flowers, rest in the inn until morning. Repeat steps 1 and 2 one more time.
3 Claim the Woodland Wordsmith Tome

Worked for me just fine. I gave three flowers over the course of three days to the equipment trader. I sat on the nearby bench and waited it out there for free.

This does not work for me. Wasted 5 bunches of flowers and 15k on the innkeeper.
