Head to Borderwatch Outpost and interact with Geoffrey. Choose the Accept option to begin the quest.

The Provisioner's Plight begins at the Borderwatch Outpost in Nothern Vermund.
Head to Markus' location on the map, north of Borderwatch Outpost. Follow the road heading north, and you will find Markus gathering provisions atop a small cliff. Once you arrive, deliver the Provisioner's Note to Markus.
After handing the note to Markus, collect 3 Harspuds and 2 Greenwarish within the highlighted quest areas.
You will also need 2 Apples for this quest. If you or your Pawns do not have one, you can gather them in the Overworld as well.
Once you have collected enough Greenwarish and Apple, create a Salubrious Draught by combining 1 Greenwarish and 1 Apple. You will need to create 2 Salubrious Draughts for this quest.
Once you have all the needed provisions, talk to Markus again and deliver 3 Harspuds and 2 Salubrious Draughts to him. Markus will thank you and give you a Waking Powder as a reward for helping him.
Afterwards, return to Geoffrey in Borderwatch Outpost. Geoffrey will offer his thanks for helping Markus, and will reward you with 900 Gold and Dried Fruit x1.
