Share Your Main Pawn

Dragon

Rift Crystals can be earned by having other players use or hire your Main Pawn. Give your Main Pawn the best gear and skills possible regularly to entice other Arisen to hire your Main Pawn, and you'll be rolling in Rift Crystals in no time!

Complete Side Quests

Dragon

Completing side quests will also reward you with Rift Crystals, so try to finish as much as you can.

Take note that you may be locked out from some side quests due to certain choices and outcomes throughout your current playthrough.

Discover Riftstones

Dragon
Activating Riftstones and Forgotten Riftstones will reward you with a good amount of Rift Crystals. Look out for these landmarks in places off the beaten path!

Defeat Monsters and Loot Chests

Dragon

Fight and defeat monsters for a chance to get Rift Crystals from their drops. Rift Crystals are not guaranteed to drop and you may have to kill a handful of enemies to amass a significant amount. Farming RC is usually done in conjunction to farming EXP so just do your usual EXP farming route to collect Rift Crystals passively.

While exploring, also keep an eye out for treasure chests as they may also contain Rift Crystals!

Rift Crystals are Used to Hire Pawns

Dragon

Rift Crystals are mainly used to hire pawns using Riftstones. The level gap between you and the pawn you are hiring usually dictates how expensive the pawn is going to be - with some pawns going as low as 0 RC.

Dragons Dogma 2 - Pawn Guild

You can also use RC to exchange items from the Pawn Guild found in Vernworth. Most of the items sold are extremely useful for hiring pawns but the most sought-after is the Art of Metamorphosis which allows you to change your appearance for 500 RC.

What is RC?

Currency Used to Hire Pawns

Dragon

Rit Crystals, or RC for short, is the currency used to hire support characters called Pawns at Riftstone.

Rift Crystals can be obtained by defeating monsters, opening treasure chests, completing side quests, and sharing your Main Pawn.
