Dragon's Dogma 2 (DD2)

What is Knockdown Power?

Knockdown Power is a stat that determines how well you can immobilize enemies in Dragon's Dogma 2. Learn about how the Knockdown Power works, which weapons have the best stat for it, and the benefits of knocking down enemies.

What is Knockdown Power?

Renders Enemies Immobilized

The Fighter's Shield Pummel is one example of making use of the Shield's Knockdown Power.

Knockdown Power is an equipment stat that indicates how weapons strikes, either physical or magical, can potentially ragdoll small enemies or topple large ones.

Knocked down enemies provide a safe window for dealing attacks without the risk of being interrupted until the enemy recovers by getting up.

Heavy-hitting weapons such as Hammers, Greatswords, and Shields have high potential knockdown power while more nimble weapons such as Daggers do not do as much. Weapon Skills like the Shield Bash also influence how much Knockdown Power a weapon uses.

Topples Large Monsters

A distinct "gong" or drum sound is made when large monsters are close to a state of being knocked down.

Knockdown Power is useful for toppling large monsters like the Cyclops. Applying such knockdown pressure can be done while grappling or striking from the ground.

The potential for knocking down a large monster is higher when you repeatedly strike their weakpoint such as the Cyclop's eye.
