How to Complete Home is Where the Hearth Is

  1. Speak with Lennart in Ulrika's Home
  2. Get the Swords in the Storeroom
  3. Repel the Soldiers in Melve
  4. Bring News of Melve to Ulrika in Harve Village
  5. Meet Ulrika Again at Nighttime

Speak with Lennart in Ulrika's Home

Dragon
After gaining passage through Melve, go to Ulrika's house and speak to Lennart about Melve's current situation.

After Lennart fills you in on Melve's dire situation, he asks you to get four swords and deliver them to him so that the villagers can defend themselves during their escape.

Get the Swords in the Storeroom

Dragon
The swords are hidden inside the storeroom with a soldier guarding it near Lennart's home. Two brothers near the location will offer to distract the guard, giving you safe passage inside the storeroom. Collect the swords inside the chests and give them to Lennart afterwards.

Note: If you haven't done the quest Brothers Brave and Timid, the two brothers will not distract the guard.

You Can Buy Swords Before the Quest Starts

Purchasing four swords before starting this quest and then giving them to Lennart once he requests the weapons is possible! However, it's recommended to collect the confiscated weapons so you won't have to spend any gold.

Repel the Soldiers Stationed in Melve

Dragon
Go outside once you hand over the weapons and defeat the soldiers who cornering you, with Lennart's help. Make sure to avoid clumped groups of enemies, as they might stunlock you with their attacks.

Bring News of Melve to Ulrika in Harve Village

Dragon
Travel to Harve Village and go to the docks to find Ulrika. Speak with her to inform her of the situation back in Melve. She'll appreciate your actions and ask you to meet her at the same place at night.

Meet Ulrika Again at Nighttime

Dragon
Return to Ulrika near the docks at night and speak with her again. This will trigger a cutscene which implies you've successfully romanced Ulrika!

In "Home is Where the Hearth Is Quest" you can just jump over the ruined wall (to the right of the guar demanding the bribed) thus saving 5000g. Also, the 4 swords can be taken from the armory in the village by jumping through the hole in the roof and fighting 2 guards (if distraction didn't work).
