NPCs in Dragon's Dogma 2 (DD2) can be found by passing the time to the intended time of day, asking for a pawn's assistance, or even reviving them from the morgue. See more details on how to find specific NPCs and what to do if an important NPC dies.
Ways on Finding NPCS |
---|
|
If an NPC does not show up in their intended location, you can pass the time by dozing off on a nearby bench to have the NPC arrive or spawn at the location.
Some NPCs show up at a specific time of day and may spawn at random times. Captain Brant in Seat of the Sovran and Mildred in A Place to Call Home are NPCs that show this behavior, respectively.
If you're struggling to find an important NPC, there's a chance that they have died earlier.
Fortunately, morgues and charnel houses specifically collect dead NPCs so you can revive them with a Wakestone.
▼ What to Do if an Important NPC Dies
Prioritizing quests highlights the next objective or area where you may find the NPC you're looking for.
To prioritize a quest, pause the game, then enter the Quests Menu. From here, highlight the quest you want to prioritize and press the Prioritize prompt in the bottom-right of the screen.
Some pawns who have assisted an Arisen to complete a quest will know about it and can assist you in completing it, including guiding you to NPC locations.
Quests with the pawn icons indicate that that pawn has knowledge of the quest and can assist you. Prioritize the quest and issue the “Go!” command when the pawn suggests something regarding the quest so it can start helping you.
You may search for more knowledgeable pawns from Grand Riftstones found in major cities.
Set a priority mission first, then customize your search criteria in the Grand Rifstone to only include pawns with knowledge of the priority quest.
The history menu lists all the important NPCs you've interacted with and notes where the NPC may reside.
This does not guarantee that the NPC may be there, but it gives a general direction on where to find the NPC.
Morgues and Charnel Houses are locations where you can revive important NPCs that have died, giving you another opportunity to start or complete a quest.
Depending on the NPC's location, their corpse will arrive in Batthal's Morgue or Vermund Charnel House.
World Location | Map Location |
---|---|
Vermund Charnel House is located in the southern part of Vernworth.
Each NPC you revive requires you to pay 5,000G to the undertaker and a Wakestone to revive the corpse.
Wakestones can be obtained by combining 3 Wakestone Shards. These shards automatically combine if three are present in your character's inventory or storage.
