Turn off the Minimap Rotation setting to lock the minimap to always show north at the top.
Pause the game and enter the System menu. Proceed to Options, then Game Settings. From here, turn off the Minimap Rotation to lock the minimap.
By default, this setting is turned on, which makes the minimap rotate and match the player's direction.
Turning off the Minimap Rotation to lock the minimap to the north may benefit players struggling to follow the minimap with the default settings.
