Ancient Battleground

You can find a Drake fighting against a Cyclops in the Ancient Battleground, found northeast of Checkpoint Rest Town!

Near Hill With a Big Tree

You can find a Drake sleeping or roaming the general area near the hill with a lone tree at the top acting as the crown!

Bridge of Theodacrus

A Drake can be near the Bridge of Theodacrus. It has a relatively small area to fight in can have the chance of the Drake slipping into the stream, automatically killing it.

Near the entrance of Harve, you can find ruins of a building. A Drake is scripted to swoop down here if you get too close. This Drake only spawns after doing the first part of Scaly Invaders!

You can find a Drake nestled in the ruins hidden by the forest just northwest of the Nameless Village. This Drake will often be encountered when one explores the area while doing the Nameless Village Quest, so be cautious!

Roaming in the water-filled crevices of Battahl, you can find a Drake. You will encounter Asps and Goblins; you may lose health before this fight, so stock up on curatives!

You can find a Drake looking out into the shore when you head north of the Volcanic Island Camp. While late in the game, this Drake is one of the easier fights since you have plenty of space to work with!

Lesser Dragons are More Powerful Than Drakes

Aside from Drakes, Lesser Dragons also roam the lands as draconic creatures. You can encounter Lesser Dragons later in the game, and their main difference from Drakes is their lack of hearts and a body filled with cysts.

While almost similar, these Lesser Dragons are significantly harder to face than Drakes due to having more variety in their attacks and possessing tougher resistances. However, they do not have spells, so look to abuse that!

Attack The Glowing Heart Weak to Ice Prevent Flying Watch Out for Its Spells

Attack The Glowing Heart

Drakes, on intervals, will reveal a crucial weak spot after using their fire breath and spells. A drake's chest will start glowing a bright red hue. Look to position yourself close to their chest after they use this move and hack away at it!

Weak to Ice

Drakes are weak to Ice, so look to exploit this weakness to deal more damage. If you are not a Mage or Sorcerer, have a pawn exploit this weakness by adding Ice damage to your weapons or independently using Ice spells like Hagol!

Prevent Flying

Drakes will often fly to avoid getting damaged while pelting you with their breath and spells. To prevent this, opt to focus on their wings until you break them, removing their ability to fly.

Another solution is to position yourself near their hind legs so they keep re-adjusting to hit you until their glowing heart is visible.

Watch Out for Its Spells

Spell
After finishing the blue incantation, three bolts of lightning will strike you and your pawns.	After finishing the red incantation, a fiery blaze will explode around the Drake.

Drakes understand the nature of spells and will occasionally utilize them to decimate your party. Reposition yourself if a Drake begins to raise its hand near its chest as it will cast a spell.
